42 Acres Solargraphs

The Pinhole cameras were installed at the beginning of the year, 12 in total….placed at various different points around the house and land…using beer cans and huge quantities of gaffa tape.

The cameras are being left for varying amounts of lunar months, documenting a year of time passing at 42 Acres, Somerset.

Once collected the photographic paper is carefully extracted (in many cases the inside of the cans have been wet). Carefully drying off the paper, I then quickly scan them at a high resolution – mindfull any light hitting the paper will continue to expose the paper further. The image is then edited into it’s inverse colourway – the original comes out greys and peaches, whereas the opposite creates the golds and greens. Fascinating!
